HISTORY OF THE SHEFFIELD CENTRE

Issue 6 - 1st September 1994

INTRODUCTION

The idea of producing a history of the IEE Centre in Sheffield was first floated in February 1993. I have attempted to produce, I hope, a fairly factual unbiased account of the history of the Sheffield Sub-Centre and Centre. If any reader has an alternative view of events, or can furnish any additional information or photographs it would be very welcome. I apologise for any important events not included. A second issue is envisaged in the next few years when corrections can be made and the details expanded. I hope you take the time to read this chronological account, it will make the hours spent in the IEE archives worth it.
